1.   Identify IV Therapy as a specialized patient need, with practice requirements to maintain patient safety.
2.   Name the three layers of the veins and the arteries.
3.   Perform peripheral venipuncture procedure with improved confidence and proficiency.
4.   Identify four veins of the arm.
5.   Name two cleaning agents appropriate for skin preparation for IV insertion.
6.   Differentiate between peripheral verses central venous access devices in patients.
7.   Identify and describe three venipuncture complications.
8.   Implement appropriate interventions for the management of electronic infusion devices.
9.   Identify five types of special infusions and precautions for proper patient outcomes.
10. Differentiate between a PICC device and an implanted port.
