PLEASE NOTE:  ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT ARRT® GUIDELINES,  ALL COURSES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE 8 QUESTIONS PER CREDIT HOUR. YOU MUST USE THE TESTING MATERIALS THAT ARE SENT TO YOU. PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF THE TEST WILL CONTAIN MORE/LESS QUESTIONS.

The following ACR Manual on MR Safety is intended to be used as a template for MR facilities to follow in the development of a safety program.

The principles found in this safety manual are intended to apply to clinical diagnostic imaging, research, and atypical MR settings (e.g., linear accelerator MR, interventional MR, etc.) and encompass information for patients, research subjects, and health care personnel.

This document includes information in separate sections and appendices that address issues such as cryogen emergency vent locations and pathways, the 5-G line, siting considerations, patient access pathways, and others.

No matter which type of ACR Manual on MR Safety course you purchase, (complete course, download test, fax or online) you can take your test through our on-line testing site.

Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:

• Discuss the difference between MR personnel and non-MRI personnel.
• Discuss the difference between Zones I through Zone IV.
• List the screening steps performed prior to the patient being allowed to enter Zone III.
• Name five items that must be removed from an individual undergoing an MR procedure.
• Define the steps to take in the event of a cardiac emergency.
